Split a payment

When a group wants to pay one bill with several cards, use Split. The till divides the total into parts, and the terminal takes one payment per part, one after another.

The Split button is there when the owner has switched on Split the bill under Features in the builder.

Split a bill

1. Ring up the whole bill, then press Split among the payment buttons.
2. The till starts with two parts. To split evenly, press 2 ways, 3 ways or 4 ways next to Evenly. Even parts are whole kronor, and any odd öre go on the last part.
3. To choose the amounts yourself, type an amount in each Part. Press Add part for another one, or the cross to remove one.
4. Watch the line under the parts. Left shows what is not yet in any part: press Put the rest in part 2 (or Put the rest in a new part) to place it. too much means the parts add up to more than the bill, so lower one of them. Adds up means you are ready.
5. Press Start on terminal. Hand the terminal to the first person, then the next, until every part is paid.

If one part fails

If a part is declined or cancelled, the till shows Partly paid, what is paid so far and what is left. Press Card to take the rest on the terminal, or Cancel order.

Good to know

• Every part is paid on the terminal. Paying part of the bill in cash in the same sale is not possible yet.
• The receipt and the reports show one sale with the payment method Split.
