Products and categories

Everything your till sells lives under Products in the builder. Each product belongs to one category, and the category decides where its button sits and what colour it gets on the till.

Find your products

1. Open your till in the builder and choose Products in the left rail.
2. The list shows every product with its category and price. Search by name, SKU or barcode, or tap a category chip to see only that category.
3. Open a product to see all of it on one page.

Add or change a product

1. Press Add product. A new item appears and opens.
2. Under Basics, type the name and pick the Category. You can also add a photo, an Article number (SKU) and a Barcode (EAN) so a scanner finds it.
3. Under Price, choose how it is priced: Fixed price, By weight or Open price. Type the price with VAT included and pick the VAT rate.
4. Use Duplicate to copy a product with all its settings, or Delete product to remove it.

On the till at the bottom of the page shows what a cashier sees after a tap.

Categories

1. In the side panel, press Add category and type a name.
2. Tap a category in the side panel to change its name, colour and icon. Press Done when you are finished. Add icons from the names gives every category a matching icon in one go.
3. To remove a category, move its products to another category first, then press Remove category.

A product takes its category's colour unless you set its own Button colour. Use the category colour puts it back.

Make it reach the till

Changes stay in your draft until you save. Nothing reaches the till before you save and publish: see Publish and go live.
