Getting started
Publish and go live
How to save versions, put your till on its own web address, and switch from demo payments to real card payments.
Your till goes live in two steps. First you publish it at its own web address, still with demo payments. Then you apply for real payments and sign the agreement, so card sales are paid out to your own bank account.
Save and publish
- Every change you make is a draft until you press Save in the top bar. Each save becomes a new version (v1, v2, v3 and so on).
- In the steps along the top, click Address (or type "address" in Jump to…). Write a name, for example bakery-sodermalm, using lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens, and press Use this address. The name is held for your till as soon as you choose it.
- Press Publish in the top bar to put the newest version live. Open the live till shows what your cashiers see.
From then on, every save goes live at the address straight away, including the versions the assistant makes. To go back, open Version history and press Roll back on an earlier version.
Apply for real payments
Card payments are handled by Surfboard Payments. Only an owner of the till can apply and switch, because it decides whose bank account the money goes to.
- Open Go live and press Apply for real payments.
- Type your organisation number. Name and address are filled in for you where we can find them; fill in the rest.
- Press Continue to signing. A page opens in a new tab with your details filled in. Add the bank account for payouts, agree the card fees and sign with BankID. If someone else signs for the company, press Copy link and send it to them.
- Back in Go live, press Anything new? to see where the application stands. The till keeps taking demo payments meanwhile.
Switch to real payments
When your account is ready, press Switch to real payments, then Yes, take real payments. Then register your card terminal again: the one you tried things with belongs to the test account. See Connect a card terminal. Back to test payments switches back at any time.
The rest of the Go live list
- Store: your till gets its own store, created when you register its first terminal or under More: stores, all terminals, an existing account.
- Receipts and staff: the Cash register name printed on every receipt, and the Control unit serial. Both are required in Sweden before the first real receipt.
- Staff and PINs: add your own staff, so the demo PINs stop working. See Staff and PINs.
