Getting started with getpos

getpos builds a till from a sentence, or from screenshots of the till you use today. It runs in the browser on your tablets and phones, at your own web address. Everything works with demo payments first, so you can try it all before any real money moves.

1. Describe your till

On getpos.ai, write what you sell and how in the box Describe the POS you want, for example "Small café, card and Swish, tips on the terminal". Add Screenshots of your current POS or Photos of your menu if you have them, or pick a template under Start from. Press Build my POS.

2. Sign in with your email

There is no password. Type your email, open the link we send you on the same device, and the build starts. A first version is ready in under a minute. Your tills are listed under Your tills whenever you come back.

3. Shape it in the workspace

The workspace shows every screen of your till, running. The assistant chat sits on the left, and the panel on the right has four areas:

• Features: how you serve, how guests pay, card terminals, kitchen and bar, receipts and shop extras. Switch something on and the till changes at once.
• Design: Layout, Look, Rules, Products, Modules and Campaigns.
• Staff: names and PINs for everyone who works the till, and who else may change it.
• Go live: real payments, terminals and receipt details.

Tell the assistant what to change, or click a part of the till and edit it directly. See Build with the assistant.

4. Choose an address and publish

Press Save to keep your changes as a new version. Then choose an address, such as bakery-sodermalm.getpos.ai, and publish. From then on, every save goes live at that address. See Publish and go live.

5. Put it on your devices

Open the address on the tablet or phone at the counter and install it on the home screen. See Devices and installing the till.

6. Get ready to take card payments

Until you go live, the till takes demo payments: nothing is charged. When you are ready, apply for real payments under Go live, sign the agreement and register your card terminal with the code on its screen. See Connect a card terminal.
