Products: common questions

Quick answers about products, prices, sizes, campaigns, stock and why a product does not show where you expect.

I changed a product. Why does the till still show the old one?

Changes stay in your draft until you save and publish. Save, and if the till already has its address, the save goes live. Then reload the till. See Publish and go live.

Why can guests not see a product on the QR menu?

Guests only see products with a fixed price above zero, so open-price and by-weight products never show. Also check that Guests ordering themselves is ticked under Where it is sold, and that guest ordering is on under Features.

Why does the till say a product is not sold for this order?

The product is set for eat in or take away only, and the ticket has the other one. Switch eat in or take away on the ticket, or change For under Where it is sold. See Where products are sold.

Can a product sold by weight have sizes?

No. Make a separate product for each kind instead. Sizes only work with a fixed price.

Does the till stop selling when stock reaches zero?

No. The till keeps selling, so keep an eye on the count on the product page. See Stock.

Why are there no sales figures?

Figures need card payments set up under Go live and at least one publish after that. The box on the page says which step is missing. See Product sales.

How do I change a price for a few hours only?

Add a campaign price on the product, with the days and the hours. The till switches it on and off by itself. See Campaign prices.

Does the guest menu use campaign prices?

No. The guest menu shows the regular price.

Why can I not remove a category?

A category with products in it cannot be removed. Move its products to another category first, then press Remove category.

Can I bring my menu from my old till?

Yes. Export a file from the old till, or take photos of the menu, and import it under Products. See Import your menu.
