Stock

The product page shows how many you have in stock, and lets you book a delivery in or a loss out. The count is kept with your card payment setup, which Surfboard Payments handles.

Before you start

Stock works once your till takes card payments and the product has been published at least once. Until then the page says what is missing:

• No store for card payments yet: set it up under Go live.
• The product has not been published yet: publish once, then try again.

Book stock in or out

1. Open the product under Products.
2. Find Stock under Sales of this product. It shows the count, such as "24 in stock", and the count per size if the product has sizes.
3. If the product has sizes, pick under Stock for whether it is The product or one size.
4. Type How many.
5. Press Book in for a delivery, or Book out for breakage, waste or something you took for yourself.

The new count shows straight away. If nothing has been counted yet, the page says so: book the first delivery in to start.

Products that count their own stock

A product with Count stock ticked (on the product, under In the webshop) keeps its count on the till itself instead. Every paid sale counts it down, on the till, from guests' phones and in the webshop. At 0 the webshop stops selling it. The product page then shows that count, not the one above. A refund does not count back up: add it back by hand. To set the count or add a delivery, open Orders and Stock: see The Orders area.

Good to know

• The till does not stop selling at zero. A product with no stock left can still be sold, so keep an eye on the count.
• Each till keeps its own count.
• For the products that count their own stock, Orders, Stock lists them all in one place.
